| Heike Seefeldt is a native German, who has been working as a professional scenic artist for about fifteen years. She graduated with First Class Honors from the University of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany, where she received her Master's degree in Fine Arts (MFA), specializing in Theatre Arts. The Department of Fine Arts at this historic and reputable University is unique, since it is the only one offering an MFA program in Germany. Only a small number of select students are accepted each year. Heike combined her passion for traveling, art, and theater by working for a wide range of theaters in Europe and the USA. The diverse backgrounds and visions of these theaters allowed Heike to utilize her many different skills, be creative, and expand her technical repertoire. Theaters she worked for in Europe include the 'Semper Oper' in Dresden (Germany), the 'Burg Theater' in Vienna (Austria), and the 'Luzerner Theater' in Lucerne (Switzerland). In 2004, Heike settled in San Francisco, and has since been working for a great variety of theater-, tv-, and mural-companies in the Bay Area. Examples are the San Jose Repertory Theater, CalShakes, the Berkeley Repertory Theater, A.C.T., the Marin Theater Company , the Intersection for the Arts, The Z Space, and many more. Heike's work includes scenic painting and her personal fine arts, as well as private commissions for companies and individuals (e.g. murals, copies of fine arts 'Masters', modern paintings, and more). |
